The Cambridge House
Announces its plans to expand:
A brewery for distribution and a second restaurant
On Friday, April 21st, The Cambridge House will officially release its plans to expand its operations in two areas: the brewery and restaurant. The goal of this expansion is to develop a full bottling and distribution brewery as the backbone of the company and a series of brewpubs showcasing the product; all of which is collateralized with real estate.
Unfortunately, Connecticut has a three tier distribution structure for beer, which prevents the restaurant and the distribution brewery to be in the same building or under the same operating entity. To solve this problem, the owners have looked to states that do not have such regulations on distribution; the closest state is Massachusetts. Boucino is in talks with Economic Development Committees of various towns of Massachusetts and has spoken with developers all of whom are eager to join in the expansion.
A limited shareholder program will be offered again, where people can buy stock in the company and earn a return over a certain number of years. This investor program was first used when The Cambridge House was opening its first location. "Since our first fundraising initiative, more and more people have expressed interest in being apart of the next investor program. I am pleased to announce that the second investor program is being offered."
When Boucino was asked where he sees The Cambridge House in five years he responded: "Ever since the very beginning, I have seen this particular establishment as Cambridge House #1. I see a bustling brewery making beer on a scale that dwarfs what we do now."
